worked and played
stayed at hippo for 3 months this winter. loved everything about it, although i am prob a bit biased i do think it is one of the best hostels in the world! yeah its a bit of a wlak up a hill to get there but the views are amazing.... truely amazing. lost count of the time i spent just listening to tunes looking out over the whold of Q-town.
shana is a diamond and will do everything to sort your activitys and they will be cheep too!
mr riely aint a bad ol'boy either!!!
moss the cat is a legend and i miss him very very much!!

Hi, I stayed with you for 2weeks back in September last year (i'm a bit slack with getting round to doing things!!). Was definatly the best hostel i stayed in, great people - so so helpful, spectacular views and just amazing in every way! will definatly be back!!

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed during my world trips (first in 2003) - especially because I am collecting Hippos since 1984 :-) Friendly people and wonderful place with awesome views. All the best for you!

Lovely homely hostel. Best we stayed whilst in NZ. Warm, friendly and clean. Absolutely the best views I have seen the whole time I have been in NZ. It is truly an alpine village in the Southern Hemisphere.
